A Unit Treats Hearing Loss by Transmitting Sound Through the teeth

There are many hearing loss conditions, which affect millions of Americans. Going to a hearing health center, and getting the proper diagnosis is the first step towards receiving the correct treatment of this condition. One of the common ways to treat hearing damage is through the usage of hearing aids. A company by the name of Sonitus Medical has now come up with a unit, which helps treat single-sided loss of hearing, through the teeth?

The company has raised funds to expand marketing of the new device, which may help treat hearing loss by transmitting sound through the teeth. Sonitus Medical, has now raised $25 million, to promote this new removable device which is worn in the mouth. According to the Wall Street Journal, the hearing health unit uses the principle of bone conduction to transmit sound.

As millions of people continue to be diagnosed with hearing loss every year, it is encouraging to know there are new ways being worked on which may improve a sufferer’s quality of life.
