What Does Hearing Loss Sound Like?

Many people may be suffering from hearing loss and not even know it.  Hearing damage can occur from prolonged exposure to loud noise in the work place. The National institute of Occupational safety and health (NIOSH), provides examples of normal hearing, moderate hearing loss , normal hearing with background noise and moderate hearing loss with background noise.  Individual may compare their hearing to these examples to identify whether or not they suffer from loss of hearing.
