Rod Stewart Hearing Loss Advocate
New Generation Miami Hearing Center has been part of the Hear the World Campaign for months now. Each week we commend an influential Celebrity to represent Hear the World. These Ambassadors help bring awareness to hearing loss and the use of hearing aids. This weeks Hear the World Ambassador is Rod Stewart .
Rod Stewart, the youngest of five, was born January 1945 in London. He showed his inclination towards music when he learned to play the guitar at 11 years old. As a young man he was part of many bands including “The Kinks”. In 1971 his first single came out “Maggie May” which was No. 1 in the U.S. and Britain and consecrated him as a rock ‘n’ roll star.
Rod Stewart has been a supporter of many causes, including The Dream Foundation, which deals with enhancing the quality of life for individuals with terminal illnesses. He has also supported the Red Cross, and has contributed to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. It is no surprise that he would also be an advocate of the Hear the World Campaign. Creating awareness about being hard of hearing and how using hearing aids can help anyone in their lives.
